LEGO® Robotics Program

Imagine giving students the experience of working with robotics and acquiring firsthand experience in math and science concepts – all with a Navy theme.  Classes will engage in exciting missions using the LEGO® Mindstorms NXT Robotics set. In the course of this amazing journey, students use math and science skills to fend off pirates and save the sea life. The mission of these courageous students will keep them on their toes from beginning to end.

Boy Scout Merit Badge Programs


Come aboard an American Hero and learn more about American Heritage and Oceanography. Boy Scout troops are encouraged to attend one of two merit badge activities being held aboard the Battleship Missouri Memorial. While immersed in history on this historic battleship, scouts will have the opportunity to work on requirements for the American Heritage or the Oceanography merit badges on separate visits.

3D Computer Aided Design Program

The USS Missouri 3D CAD Program integrates the historic features of the USS Missouri (BB-63) with 21st century technology, providing students with learning methods and tools that will allow them to see the application of science and math principles such as density, mass, geometrical shapes and linear math. Students will be given the opportunity to learn about the history of the design and building of the ship’s features, as well as experience directly how technology and engineering are used in today’s society.

Advanced reservations are required for our education rates and programs.

School Visits

The Battleship Missouri Memorial provides a tremendous venue for students young and old to explore nearly seven decades of history. Choose between a Self-Guided Tour or Battleship Guided Tour, and walk the decks of this historic battleship. Students will experience what life was like for thousands of Sailors and Marines, as well as standing on the Surrender Deck, the official site of the end of WWII. So, plan a field trip for your class and discover all the stories of this historic ship. School groups will often combine visits to the Battleship Missouri Memorial, with visits to the Arizona Memorial, Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park and the Pacific Aviation Museum.
